Glossary

Online communication tools: Online communication tools are digital platforms or applications designed to facilitate interaction and exchange of information between individuals or groups over the internet. These tools enable real-time or asynchronous communication, allowing users to connect, share messages, documents, and multimedia content, and engage in discussions or collaborative activities without physical presence.

Online collaboration tools: Online collaboration tools refer to digital software and platforms that enable individuals or teams to work together, share resources, and complete tasks or projects over the internet. These tools often include features like file sharing, document editing, project management, and communication tools to streamline teamwork, even when participants are geographically dispersed.

Face-to-face communication and collaboration: Face-to-face communication and collaboration denote interpersonal interactions that occur in a physical, in-person context. In face-to-face communication, people engage in direct, unmediated conversation or discussion without the use of digital or electronic means.

User interface: A user interface (UI) is a point of interaction between a user and a digital device or software application. It encompasses the elements and design through which users interact with technology, including graphical user interfaces (GUIs), command-line interfaces, and voice or touch interfaces. The primary goal of a user interface is to provide users with a visually and functionally intuitive means to control and interact with the underlying system or software, ensuring a positive user experience.
