Learning goals

In this module you will:

  • Discover different content formats that can be created in a professional setting and develop your readiness to use those various content creation forms and tools.
  • Understand the basics of intellectual property protection.
  • Develop an ability to select appropriate software for creating specific types of content and understand how mobile devices can be utilized for content creation.
  • Familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of editing text and multimedia documents, and acquire proficiency in creating properly formatted documents, spreadsheets, simple videos, or presentations using office suite programs.
  • Develop an ability to create a basic visual identity for personal or company use.
  • Develop an ability to create a simple website using a WYSIWYG editor without coding skills.
  • Understand why staying updated with new trends matters in exploring emerging possibilities.
  • Change your way of thinking about various forms and tools to create digital content in your workplace.

Knowledge:

At the end of this module you will:

  • Know which content formats you can create in workplaces.
  • Know which software is used to produce content of a certain format.
  • Know the basics of editing text and multimedia documents.
  • Know that most content creation tasks can also be done using their mobile device.
  • Know the basics of intellectual property protection.

Skills:

At the end of this module you will:

  • Be able to choose software appropriate for the type of content they want to create.
  • Be able to create properly formatted documents, spreadsheets, or presentations in office suite programs.
  • Be able to create simple videos using the tools they have.
  • Be able to create a basic visual identity for their own needs or for the company they work for.
  • Be able to create a simple website on a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor without coding skills.
  • Be able to legally acquire content online based on appropriate licenses.

Attitudes:

At the end of this module you will:

  • Embrace a positive approach to use various tools for creating content and not be afraid of experimenting in search of new forms and tools.
  • Embrace a positive approach to follow new digital trends and explore possibilities arising over time.

Prerequisites

No specific prior knowledge required. However, basic knowledge of computer and internet use is recommended.
